Be Sanskriti Legacy is a California nonprofit social impact organization. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it. It is short because we collect very little.

What we collect

Information you send us. If you email us, register for an event, or make a donation, we receive whatever you choose to provide, typically your name, email address, and any message you write.
Basic site data. Our website host records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We use this only to keep the site working.

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for information we do not need.

To send occasional updates, only if you asked to receive them

What we never do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers described below, or where the law requires it.

Services we rely on

Some parts of this site and our events are handled by outside companies, and their own privacy policies apply to what they collect:

Luma for event registration and ticketing
Zelle and your own bank for donations, which we never see card or account numbers for
YouTube and Instagram for videos embedded on our pages, which may set cookies when you play them
Google for our website content and email

Cookies

We do not set our own tracking or advertising cookies. Embedded videos from YouTube and Instagram may set their own. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, though some embedded content may stop working if you do.

Photography at events

We often photograph and film our events, and those images may appear on this site or on social media. If you would prefer not to be photographed, tell a member of our team at the event and we will respect that.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will take care of it. You can unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that email, or simply by replying and asking.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date at the top of this page.

By using this website or attending our events, you agree to the following.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. We share stories, experiences, and awareness information about ovarian and reproductive cancers. It is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment from a qualified healthcare professional. Speak to a doctor about your own health, and never delay seeking care because of something you read or heard here.

Our content

The text, images, video, and design on this site belong to Be Sanskriti Legacy or are used with permission. You are welcome to share and link to our pages. Please do not republish our content as your own or use it commercially without asking us first.

Events and tickets

Event registration and payment are handled through Luma, and their terms apply to those transactions. Ticket prices, availability, and any refund or transfer policy are shown on the event page at the time you register. We may need to change a date, venue, speaker, or program, and we will let registered guests know as soon as we can.

Donations

Donations are voluntary and are generally not refundable. If you made a donation in error, contact us and we will do our best to sort it out.

Tax deductibility. Be Sanskriti Legacy's 501(c)(3) status is pending. Until that status is granted, we cannot promise that a donation is tax deductible. Please check with your own tax advisor, and contact us if you need documentation for a contribution.

Links to other sites

We link to partners, sponsors, and outside resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.

Conduct at our events

Our events are built to be safe and supportive spaces. We ask everyone to treat other guests, speakers, and staff with respect. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave who does not.

Liability

We provide this website and our events as they are, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Be Sanskriti Legacy is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or attendance at our events.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
